Non-governmental organization "Belarusian Young Women Christian Association" (YWCA of Belarus) was registered on July 26, 1996 (re-registered on September 3, 1999 and May 12, 2006) by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus. It is a non-political, non-confessional, non-profit women’s association.
During 11 years of its existence YWCA of Belarus implements social and educational programmes aimed at solving important problems in the republic.
The association has local branches, which are officially registered by local authorities in six towns of Belarus — Bobruisk, Gomel, Novopolotsk, Minsk, Smorgon and Mozyr. Women from Baranovichy and Slonym are also members of the association.
Our target groups are women of different ages.
- Girl-students of high schools and universities.
- Women in difficult circumstances.
- Women with active life stand, who seek after ways of self-development.
- Young men are gradually becoming more and more involved in our work (high-school and university students and others).
We pay a lot of attention to young members and volunteers of our association. Due to our joint work they become experts, trainers, professionals, and, the most important — self-confident persons.
YWCA of Belarus activities are implemented along with major programme directions in accordance with the aims stated in our constitution and goals, put for the regional, national and local levels:
- achieving gender equality through education of young people,
- counteracting violence against women and trafficking in women,
- raising awareness level on safe behavior issues,
- developing leadership skills of young women,
- raising levels of education and culture of members of association.

The highest power is vested in General Assembly of YWCA of Belarus.
The executive power is vested in the Executive Committee, which includes the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Treasurer, Revision Committee Chairperson, Chairpersons of local branches, and other persons which delegated by the General Assembly.
