This handbook is unique as it was published specially for trainers on gender education and might be of interest for pedagogues, psychologists, tutors, NGO representatives working with young people.

This compendium of papers from seminars-trainings is a result of the project "Social and legal education of girl-students in labor sphere". This book is a result of social project "Counteraction to discrimination of young women" implemented by YWCA of Belarus in 2002-2003. The book contains both theoretical and practical materials, methods of work with the audience, exercises that can be used during trainings on gender issues, legislative acts regulating status of women in various spheres of life (family and labor law), results of sociological research.

Social and legal aspects of violence against women and children, international and national legislation in field of prevention and combating violence, results of regional campaign "Life free of violence" in CIS countries and Lithuania and practical recommendations for victims of violence are presented in the book.

This book is published in frames of Belarusian-Swedish project "Changing attitude towards breast cancer among women and society" for the broad audience with the aim to attract attention to breast cancer prevention. The authors of the book are leading oncologists of National mammology center, led by the chief mammologists of the Republic of Belarus, professor Leonid Putyrski.

Results of the sociological research on HIV and AIDS in Republic of Belarus (S. Burova, V. Polikarpov, L. Yakusheva, Minsk 2006)

The book is published for the researchers, representatives of NGOs, specialists, working with counteraction of HIV and AIDS spread in Belarus. It contains the results of complex sociological research, which includes opinion poll, organized with the aim to study awareness of young people in field of HIV and AIDS, interviews with experts about the system of prevention of HIV and AIDS in Belarus, narrative interviews with HIV-positive people living in Belarus, conducted with the aim to study their needs and problems.

School on experience exchange between YWCA of Belarus and YWCA of Ukraine: compendium of papers of the project (Т. Pavlova O. Shuliak, Minsk 2005)

The compendium is published for the representatives of NGOs, who work with leadership development, social pedagogues and volunteers. It contains trainings of works with volunteers, development of self-confidence, techniques of presentation and self-presentation.

"Prevention of Trafficking in Human Beings: a Handbook for Organization of Information work" (I. Alkhovka and others, ed. by E. Nesteruk, Minsk 2005)

The book focuses on the phenomenon of human trafficking, its historical and modern context, internal and external factors influencing its development, basic approaches to the solution of this problem.

The analysis of national and international legislation on labor migration regulation and travel abroad of the citizens of the Republic of Belarus is provided.

Special attention is paid to the social and psychological features of some risk groups influencing their particular vulnerability for traffickers. Trainings for risk groups and specialists are described.

The book is of intended for the representatives of NGOs working in field of trafficking prevention, teachers and social pedagogues, psychologists and other interested persons.

Contest of research papers on the issue of trafficking in persons among students, and post-graduate students was organized by BYWCA in frames of "Programme La Strada" for the first time in 2003 and since then is held annually. The main goals of the contest are to attract the attention of students and post-graduate students of various fields of studies to the issue of trafficking; to broaden the range of topics and problems raised in the articles and student papers analyzing the given phenomenon; financial support of the most gifted Belarusian students and post-graduate students interested in researching the problem of trafficking in persons. This compendium contains short version of the papers of winners of the contest held in 2005. It might be of interest for students and researchers, studying trafficking in persons and others.

The process of establishment and development of hotline on prevention of trafficking in human beings, its cooperation with governmental, non-governmental and international structures and analysis of phone calls is described. Special focus is made on methods of raising effectiveness of hotline activity through strengthening human resources and organization of social advertising campaign.

The analysis of national and international legislation on labor migration regulation and travel abroad of the citizens of the Republic of Belarus is provided. Special focus is made on social-economic status of women and youth as main risk groups. The methods of recruitment and coercion, used by the criminal groups are described using real-life examples. The experience of international organizations and NGOs and their cooperation with state is described. A system of interactive trainings on the topic for young people is provided.
