Volunteers in the student hostel of Belarusian State Pedagogical University

October is an international month against breast cancer! Volunteers of our organization Slauta Marina and Slauta Anastasia have held a meeting “Pink Ribbon” on October 29 in the student hostel No. 1 of Belarusian State Pedagogical University During this meeting students received useful information about the causes and consequences of the disease, methods of treatment. Basics of self-examination were demonstrated during the screening of the film “Hope” by Leonid Putyrsky.

After a short quiz “Stories of Life” all participants of the meeting received practical advice on
the healthy lifestyle, including demonstration of a special warm-up exercises. Similar meetings on the prevention of breast cancer were conducted by members and volunteers of YWCA in virtually all local organizations in October 2009. |
