“Youth in development” project: autumn 2009.

During autumn 2009 we maintained contacts with secondary school teachers trained by our organization in frames of the Belarusian-Swedish project “Youth in Development”. After the second session of the “School of Gender Equality”, which was focused on the topic “Responsible parenthood: a gender perspective” (June 2009), teachers were given a task to develop their own educational modules on the subject for high school students. Some of them have already organized classes. According to the plan all our graduates will have their own projects by the end of 2009. After testing them we will compile and publish a compendium “Responsible parenthood” for the broad audience.

One of our best graduates - Tatyana Litvinova, the deputy director on educational work of Vysoky state lyceum of agriculture, along with two of her students will visit Stockholm on November 30-December 5, where they will learn the experience of Swedish counterparts on gender education of youth.
