A campaign “Month of Healthy Breast!” has been finished.

Within five weeks the best mammologists of Belarus examined women free of charge. The check-ups were held in a comfortable medical center “Nordin”. If necessary, the doctor provided a free-of-charge mammogram at the medical center “Lode”.

More than 300 women were examined and over 1200 women visited the event and received booklets ”How to check you breasts”.

The event «Month of Healthy Breasts» was initiated and organized by Tatiana Sakova, with the help of many good people, and was carried out on a charity basis. All organizers, doctors, advertisers, medical centers, journalists, volunteers have helped absolutely free.
Special thanks to all volunteers, without whom no examinations would have been held!

Members and volunteers of BYWCA, students-volunteers from Belarusian State Pedagogical University, department of Social Work worked as one great team. Every day from 9 am to 9 pm they were on duty at the phone information line, responding to numerous questions regarding the terms of the action. When the visits to the doctors were booked, volunteers greeted visitors, helped doctors and distributed leaflets ”How to check you breasts”.
