The breast cancer today is one of the leading causes of women's mortality in reproductive age. In our country the number of women, suffering from this disease is constantly growing, approaching the numbers of highly developed countries…

…with the speed of 3000 women par year. 

The diagnosis "cancer" changes life of every person in one second. Yesterday there were plans for the future, daily duties, urgent business.. But one, often unplanned visit to the doctor – and he, trying to be casual, speaks about immediate surgery.  And everything that was so important and urgent becomes absolutely insignificant.

A woman, who suffered breast cancer and stayed alive, is emotionally and economically devastated. This is not just a problem, it is a tragedy for a woman and her family. However recovery is possible, and women, who passed through all hardships encounter another problem – how to go on living. Mood changes, depression, feeling of emptiness and uselessness are normal feelings for many patients.  One of the most valuable things in these periods is help from a person with similar tragic experience, who had suffered from physical and mental pain, misunderstanding, rejection of others – even the closest people. It is almost impossible to cope with this tragedy alone.

In frames of the project a group of women-volunteers, who decided to help themselves and other women was organized.

The album contains 11 stories of women, who were diagnosed with breast cancer, but who didn't' fell into despair. They live, create, develop themselves, help other people and feel the joy of life! The chief mammologyst of the Republic of Belarus, professor Leonid Putyrsky made a speech and presented the album.
