The participants of the project "Changing attitude towards breast cancer among women and in society" took part in the first national conference

In September 2007 the participants of the project "Changing attitude towards breast cancer among women and in society" took part in the first national conference on advocacy of breast cancer and Third Summit on prevention of breast cancer in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, organized in Minsk.
The participants had listen to the reports "Contemporary state of breast cancer advocacy in Lithuania, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kaliningrad region", took part in the panel discussion on spread of breast cancer, diagnosis and treatment in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, discussion led by Dr. Jo Anne Zujewski, USA:
- Chernobyl and its influence on breast cancer (doctor Leonid Putyrski, Belarus)
- Model of programs on diagnosis of breast cancer (Tamara Serzhan, Belarus)
- Difficulties in diagnostics (doctor Carmen Popa, Romania)
- Cancer treatment and relationships with pharmaceutical companies (doctor Tanya Soldak, Belarus)
